Oozing naivety, with no regard for protocol, Steve set about knocking doors of casting directors in Soho, which landed meetings with agents and various auditions. Within a year, Steve had landed his first speaking role on TV as an episode support in Casualty. After a second speaking role in MCA Universal’s She Wolf of London, Steve played two roles on the London fringe before joining Traffic of the Stage theatre company on a national schools tour of Romeo & Juliet, playing Tybalt.
Next, with a small grant from the Prince’s Trust, Steve produced and directed Hopscotch by Israel Horovitz at the Etcetera Theatre. When the lead actor dropped out, Steve had to step into the main role at the last minute.
After this, Steve decided to realise his dream of going to drama school, and as he auditioned, inspired by acting hero Richard Burton, he memorised 7 Shakespearian protagonists: Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo, Henry V, Iago, Richard II & Coriolanus, with dreams of playing them all in one season!
Finally, Steve entered Italia Conti on the BA Acting course, which was a Meisner-based training. On graduation Steve was nominated Most Promising Newcomer for the Spotlight Award and runners-up in the BBC Radio Carlton Hobbs Awards.
In 2021, during lockdown, Steve showcased his one man play Who Did It at The Cockpit Theatre. At this time Steve also pursued a masters in screenwriting at Falmouth University, graduating in 2023.
In 2022 Steve landed his 3rd TV role in Grime Kids as a nightclub bouncer.
From taking part in recent ‘directing actors’ workshops at the London Film Academy, Steve has met up-and-coming film directors and played the lead in two short films.
Steve loves being on stage and set and enjoys exploring different ways to access complex characters.
