Naomi Paxton a.k.a Ada Campe is an award-winning variety artiste, cabaret performer, comedian and magician with an eclectic portfolio

Naomi trained at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland). She has appeared in the West End and on tour in the UK and Internationally.

As a speaker and presenter Naomi has hosted events for organisations including the Being Human Festival, the Sound of the Year Awards, the School of Advanced Study’s Living Literature series, Funny Women, and the British Library. She has appeared as a guest speaker at Latitude Festival, the Festival of Ideas, the British Academy, and the National Theatre, and is the regular MC for Museums Showoff and the V&A’s Carry on Curating events.

In 2015 she completed a PhD in the Drama department at the University of Manchester. Her doctoral research explored the work of the Actresses’ Franchise League and the contribution of theatre professionals to the suffrage campaign. She’s published three books about her research, curated exhibitions at the National Theatre and UK Parliament, and created games including Suffra-Greats! and Embrace the Base: Greenham Women Everywhere. She’s a BBC Radio 3/AHRC New Generation Thinker and has presented programmes on BBC Radio 3 including Free Thinking, Time Travellers, and The Essay, and appeared as a guest on TV and radio including BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Woman’s Hour, Today in Parliament, and Making History.
