Over her training she has explored a variety of genres and mediums, taking a particular interest in Shakespeare and classical work because of her love for reading and literature. Her credits whilst training include Annie (Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde), Madeline (in a devised piece inspired by Vertigo), a female Orsino (Twelfth Night), Larry (The Iceman Cometh) and Berenger (Rhinoceros). Outside of her training, she recently played the female lead in the short film Psychedelic Heartbreak.
After taking part in a fully improvised show at the Questor’s Theatre and touring care homes with The Dot Collective, Lydia’s interest in community and immersive theatre has emerged where the audience are the focus.
Growing up she loved going to watch musicals with her mum and paired with her background in dance, she has developed a passion for movement and physical theatre. She explores physical theatre and a newfound skill of puppetry in her upcoming Camden Fringe show Shakespeare’s Guise.
Lydia loves creating her own work as part of the company Jot Theatre and she is developing her writing and devising skills alongside acting!
