Isabel Wroe Wright

Isabel is an actor and producer working in live comedy. Her acting experience is largely rooted in improvisation and musical comedy

She founded and produces the cult-hit Fringe favourite, Sh!t-Faced Showtime which has performed to sold-out audiences since 2015. The show plays across the UK, including London’s West End, Brighton Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Her most recent undertaking is her musical comedy troupe, Flat & the Curves. Issy is the Creative Director as well as a performer in the group. The group have seen great success since their inception in 2021; they were finalists in The Musical Comedy Awards 2021 and The New Variety Act of the Year 2022. They’ve garnered several impressive 5-star reviews including high praise from Jerry Spring: The Opera composer, Richard Thomas labelling a recent production “virtuoso, messy, funny, feminist, charming, filthy, fabulous.

Issy is a classically trained and versatile singer as well as an experienced cabaret performer. She has performed at a wide range of prestigious venues including The London Palladium, The Royal Opera House, Cadogan Hall, The Royal Festival Hall and The Royal Albert Hall.

Film and TV work includes ITV’s Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Let’s Get Macho and All of Them (both G59 Productions). Further credits include The Treasure Seekers (BBC Radio 4), By Royal Command of King Charles III (Almeida Theatre), Anyone Can Whistle (The Union Theatre) and work at The Finborough Theatre and the Adelaide Fringe.
