EUGENIE NG

Eugenie is a recent graduate of the University of Oxford and UCL, having just completed her masters in applied linguistics

During her time at both universities, she was an avid performer in theatrical productions staged in venues such as the Oxford Playhouse and the Bloomsbury Theatre, with her favourite roles including Mary Warren in The Crucible, specifically the operatic adaptation’s UK premiere with UCOpera; Svetlana Sergievskaya (Chess) for which she won Best Individual Performance at the UCL Arts Awards; and originating the role of Juliet Rand (See It. Say It. Sorted. The Musical) which has since enjoyed runs at both the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Bloomsbury Festival.

Most recently, Eugenie was a finalist in the Oxford and Cambridge Club Music Prize Competition; she appeared in a commercial for the Oreo Night Twist campaign, and she performed at the Edinburgh Fringe with the Oxford Belles who had won the Derek Award for Best A Capella in 2023.

A firm believer in the complementary nature of her interest in phonetics and performance, Eugenie loves discussing the role of accents, dialects, and translation in storytelling, and is eager to see what new interests develop through joining the team at TGA.
