TGA are looking for an Agent’s Assistant to join us.

THE COMPANY

TGA is a talent management company specialising in comedy performers / writers and non-scripted television talent.

THE ROLE

The candidate will work in tandem with the Managing Director on all the activities across our client roster.   This role will be crucial in the growth of our company over the next few years and is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, energetic person to make their mark within a growing business. Applicants will be expected to have a pro-active approach and actively help grow our clients careers and our business.  As the company expands there will be an expectation for the candidate to develop and directly manage their own client roster. Successful applicants will ideally have some experience of the comedy and television industries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Managing Director across all client activities.
  • Work with the MD on managing the logistics of client work opportunities including negotiation, diary management, confirmation, contracting and invoicing.
  • Work with the MD on all aspects of client career development across live, tv, radio, online, writing, castings, social media and more.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the comedy industry / talent with a view to scouting for new clients.
  • Manage company social media and external communications.
  • Any other duties, commensurate with the level of responsibility and the role holder’s skills and experience, as directed.

The successful candidate will be expected to have the following attributes:

  • A love of comedy and knowledge of the comedy industry (UK & worldwide). Experience and knowledge of the UK television industry is desirable.
  • Effective negotiation skills and confident interpersonal skills. Prior experience of working with creative talent would be a definite bonus.
  • Numerate with experience of financial management . Experience of managing live event budgets would be an advantage.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and project management experience.
  • Flexible, ‘hands on’ approach to working in a small start-up environment.
  • Experience of standard office software – Microsoft Office & Excel.
  • Good understanding of all social media.
  • Calm approach while working in a high pressure environment.

SALARY

Commensurate with experience – circa £25K pa.

HOURS

Full time. Monday to Friday 10am-6pm including evenings at live events. August will be spent at the Edinburgh Festival.

LOCATION

TGA office, Bedford Square, London.

TERMS

Full time, permanent employed position.  Six month probationary period.  20 days holiday a year plus bank holidays and office closure between Christmas and New Year.
